Our Story
55+ Years in Alaska
Superstructures Inc. was founded in Soldotna, Alaska in 1969 with a simple idea: Alaska deserves steel buildings engineered for Alaska — not repurposed designs from the Lower 48.
Over more than five decades, we've delivered 200+ structures across every major Alaska industry — commercial, industrial, aviation, retail, municipal, and residential. From the Kenai Peninsula to Prudhoe Bay, from small personal shops to major commercial facilities.
Today, Superstructures is owned and led by Ehren and Heather Rickman, continuing a tradition of quality, integrity, and Alaska-specific expertise.

How We Work
Our Approach
Alaska First
Every building system we recommend is evaluated for Alaska's specific conditions — not generic specifications from manufacturers unfamiliar with our climate.
Engineering Integrity
We don't cut corners on structural design. Every building is engineered for the loads, exposures, and conditions of your specific site.
Honest Communication
We tell you what you need to know — including timelines, pricing realities, and what's achievable within your budget.
Long-Term Thinking
A building that lasts 40 years is worth more than one that fails at 15. We engineer for longevity and stand behind our work.
Our Manufacturer Partner
Varco Pruden Buildings
Superstructures is an authorized Varco Pruden dealer — one of North America's most respected pre-engineered steel building manufacturers.
This partnership means every building we deliver carries the engineering quality and materials of a leading national manufacturer, backed by a 25-year structural warranty — combined with Superstructures' 55+ years of Alaska-specific expertise.
